I used this awesome yarn called Moda Vera 'Cynthia' which is 50% acrylic and 50% tencel. I loved it. It is really nice and soft and pleasant to work with. It only took one ball of yarn

Loopy Scarf
I made this yesterday, just for something to do. It was super easy to knit, took no time at all and I really enjoyed making it. I think I'm gonna knit heaps more of these in the future. I do think that I am going to use the same design but perhaps use a lacy pattern instead. I much prefer a lacy look than garter stitch.

One Dodgy Sock - A Work in Progress
The most awkward thing is working with double pointed needles. However, after a little while, you tend to forget about it and it gets loads easier. I have been taking my time with these and have been doing other knitting and crochet projects in between. If I was really bothered, I could probably finish it in one night.
The pattern is available free from the Patons Website
P.S... I HATE MY FEET!!!!!
A Funky Bag
I get so many comments about this bag. Everyone seems to love it.
The bag is made from super thick polyester yarn, like the sort of yarn that would be excellent for making a really soft and chunky bath mat. The yarn is called "Melissa All Sorts" and I purchased it from Lincraft when it was super cheap.
The whole bag took six balls of yarn and it only took me a night to knit it up. The strap is a little bit long as I didn't account for the fact that it would stretch. I will undo the strap and shorten it when I am bothered. For now the strap has a knot in it to make it shorter. I have been told that the knot in the strap adds character and I should leave it there. Apparently it makes it look a "uni chick" bag!!!
It is my own crazy design, is super light and is great as an overnight bag. For the moment I carry my big ball of yarn with my crochet baby blanket that I am making.

Funky Bathmat
I created this bath mat using Moda Vera's 'Cinderella' yarn, which I totally fell in love with. I love the fluffy look.
Knitting :-)
As I am starting to get serious about my knitting, I have decided to create a blog specifically for my knitting projects.
I also have another blog specific to knitted headbands. I am knitting these headbands to raise money for the Leukaemia foundation's "Worlds Greatest Shave", which I am participating in next month.
